News from the French charts, November 9th, 2017

All you need to know about the latest French charts for the week ending November 9th, 2017. Downloads, airplay, streaming and physical sales.

French rappers Kalash and Damso extend their reign on the combined singles chart as they firmly hold the top spot for the 5th week in a row with their song entitled ‘Mwaka Moon’. This is only the 5th number one song of the year, one of the slowest turn over ever observed on the French charts.
French hip hop songs loosen their grip on the charts, making way for other acts to reach new peaks. Global hits ‘rockstar’, ‘Havana’ and ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ all go up through the top 10. They now peak at 3, 6 and 8, respectively.
French rappers Kaaris, Kalash Criminel and Sofiane are this week’s highest new entry. ‘Bling Bling’ lands at 15.
On the downloads chart, Ed Sheeran’s ’Perfect’ has made its way to the very top, denying French sensation group Ofenbach a fourth week at the summit.

French singer Louane is responsible for this week’s biggest leap on the airplay top 40. Her latest single, entitled ‘Si t’étais là’, is up 22 at 31.

Way up high on the airplay tally, Portugal. The Man continue ruling for a third week with their smash ‘Feel It Still’.

On to the combined albums chart. French hip hop star Orelsan is still leading the chart. His album is number one for the third week in a row.

New at number 2 is French veteran rapper MC Solaar with his latest album.

The highest new entry by a foreign act comes from Asaf Avidan.
‘The Study On Falling’ bows at 11.

The French charts are compiled by GfK for Snep. They are based on downloads, streams and, for the albums chart, physical sales.
The airplay chart is compiled by Yacast.
