News from the French charts

A quick look at the French charts, week ending Sep. 28th, 2017

French rapper Niska holds firm on to the top of the singles chart for the 10th week in a row. Furthermore, he claims an astonishing total of 9 entries inside the top 10 following the release of his new album.
« Réseaux » is only the 4th number 1 song this year, the slowest turn over ever seen on the French singles chart. 2017 is also the first year where a combined streaming and sales singles chart has been introduced.

Alice Merton’s ‘No Roots’ is the week’s most downloaded track in France for the second week in a row, while Calvin Harris’ ‘Feels’ tops the airplay chart for the 10th week in a row.
Portugal. The Man’s ‘Feel It Still’ seems set to take over, as the song soars to number 2.

Over to the albums chart, where Niska’s ‘Commando’ on Capitol is new at number 1, fuelled by massive streaming figures.

The week’s best-seller is however Florent Pagny’s « Le présent d’abord », on Capitol, new at 2.

The highest new entry by a foreign act is Macklemore’s ‘Gemini’ on WEA, at 16.

The French charts are compiled by GfK for Snep. They are based on downloads, streams and, for the albums chart, physical sales.
The airplay chart is compiled by Yacast.
